1st! Know what is the purpose of a double play. Double play is simply getting 2 runner OUT! in a single play. So if it's triple play is getting 3 runner OUT! in a single play.

2nd! This play is in a very rapid pace. So must be fast !fast!.

This is for those playing the Second Baseman (2B) position.



Oh 5-4-3 double play means, 3B to 2B to 1B. So 5' represent 3B, 4' represent 2B and 3' represent 1B.

This is for those playing the Short Stop (SS) position.


So this play is called, 4-6-3 double play. 2B to SS to 1B.


Now you know how to initiate and execute a double play. Lets learn how to stop a double play if You are the runner. Focus on the runner from first base.

This last video is just an extra. I believe in softball we also have such rules where a runner interfere with the fielders attempt to make a play. MUST LISTEN.
